Slay the Spire on Mac, anybody playing it?

There's an accessibility mod for it.

Anybody have setup tips, or know how to launch it with mods, once it's set up? On Windows there's a little script that does it for Say the Spire, but no idea how this will work.

Being as the accessible mods are not working with mac, I'd say no. Playing on windows and mods work beautifully here. Don't think they work on mac.

That is literally a mod that claims to work on Mac. Is it lying? Have you actually tried it and know it to be broken?

First commenter probably didn't bother to read the link that was posted. It's very easy to fall into the trap of "Does this work on Mac? Automatic no." If someone has gotten this to work on Mac I'd love to know myself. If it requires Steam that would be a headache.

So, apparently Steam is recommend though not enforced. It looks interesting. Maybe someone with access to sighted help or who can get VOCR to work with Steam can try and report back. wish there was some way to mod Steam itself for accessibility.

Because my wife is awesome like that. I'll report back if I get it installed and running. There's also an experimental version of Text The Spire for Mac, so there's another possibility.

Gaming, not to mention blind gaming is so niche on mac that there's isn't a macos gaming topic :) but if you don't mind can you explain what's the game about the title and the mod description seem cool (assuming it works).

It's a roguelike deckbuilder with four classes, plus collectible relics, punishing game play, etc. As for blind gaming there are a tiny few good games for Mac now. Fantasy Story 2, Brok the InvestiGator, the Hellhunter series,

So you pick a class. Each class does something different, i.e. the ironclad gets a bit of healing as an ability, stuff like that. They also get different cards.

You travel through a map, but there are paths. So say one path is monster, unknown, monster, merchant, rest. At the merchant you can buy things, obviously. The monsters you fight. Rest means you can rest of smith to upgrade a card, or a couple of other things, if you have relics, which are items that let you do special things or give you extra abilities.

The way fights work is you have cards, strike and defend are
basics usually. But you can get cards that weaken monsters,
poison them, and so on, depending on class usually, but not
always. So you take turns, you play cards, and when you end your turn, the monster plays cards, and so on.

It's a fun game. Accessible on Windows, not on iOS, and we'll find out about Mac when my machine shows up tomorrow and I get round to trying to install and run it, unless anybody else owns the game and wants to try the mod.

Huh, there's a question I never thought of, do I just get the game because I already bought it on Steam, or do I have to buy it again because it's for Mac instead of Windows? I assume I just install Steam on the Mac and then download the games I already bought. But I'm just guessing.
