Shutting Down a Mac Book Air

Greetings everyone. I'm just curious if there's a way to have a sound play when shutting down the Mac Book Air, like the chime that plays when starting it up. Neither mine nor my sister's has this, and I just got to thinking it might be useful. We can definitely feel the decrease in temperature, as well as see the screen go dark upon shut-down. But has anybody ever tried to put in a shut-down sound?

I think you are onto something here I'm lucky I can still see if the screen is light or dark and hearing the fan go off helps too but I agree a sound would help.

Hey Jake, If theres a way, i've never heard of it. I have a MacBook pro with a mechanical hard disk, so I just listen to that part. But I have never heard of someone putting a shutdown chime in like there is on windows. If anyone knows of a way, I'd like to know as well. TC.
