Hello everyone. Subject line pretty much sums it up. I'm a bit confused on how to set up the midi playback on my Mac Book Air. Furthermore, it seems that the only midi file that I can get to play is the song at http://www.redwhiteandblue.org . I went into the Midi Setup, but can't figure out what settings to choose. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thought I'd revisit this topic. I'm still not able to figure out which settings to change and which ones to keep as they are in the midi setup. I tried out Garage Band last night, and I couldn't get anything to play except for one of the drum beats for a little while. I'm wondering if perhaps midi has to be enabled in order for most of Garage Band to work correctly. Thanks. I'll also try out some other things.

OS X should be able to play midis on its own. Try pressing space on a file to bring up quick look. If you want to open a file, you'll either need quicktime 7, which it should install the first time you try to open a midi with quicktime, or VLC, which needs a sound font (.sf2) file to play midis.

I just tried Quicktime Player and was able to record a brief snippet and then listen to it. However, still no midi. What is the website for VLC Media Player?
