Greetings,

It's Joseph here. I know this is a basic question, but I've never been able to figure this out. Let's say that i want to create an iMessage conversation with someone on Mac oS Siera. This person's name, for the sake of an example, is Bob Stewart. I could search for them, but in this case I want to manually find him in my contacts list and add him that way. My question is this: How on earth do I actually, you know, select the person's name once I've found them after clicking the "Add Contact" button to the right of the "Search" box? I can never seem to do this.

Thanks,

Joseph

After youlaunch the messages app, you will do the following.

  1. Click add.
  2. Click search and type bob
  3. Click his name
  4. Interact with his name and choose the phone number.

Note this only works in the messages app. Good luck in other apps as apple broke that 2 versions ago and I've ben in discussions with them to fix this.
