Hello,
as you may know, the new Macs with the M1 chip allow standard iOS or iPadOS apps to run on these new Macs with a little effort from the developers part. This opens a whole new possibilities regarding app accessibility on Mac, since we can now, in macOS, run mobile apps which so far have been truly accessible only on iOS or iPadOS, for example Voice Dream Reader, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp. When operating these apps, we can thus enjoy the benefits of using the desktop computer, like easily switching between apps or sharing the clipboard.
However, developers can opt out from listing these apps in the Mac App Store, and unfortunately this is what the developers like Facebook or Google actually do. Therefore, this way I would like to kindly ask the AppleVis community to join me in raising a request to such developers to allow their iOS and iPadOS apps to be available in the Mac App Store. In case of Facebook, you can submit an accessibility request via their Accessibility Help Center. In case of the Voice Dream Reader developer, the contact email is support@voicedream.com
Thanks in advance for your support.

I really Would Like To
Hi.
I'm using an Intel based Mac but I read some articles about new Macs and they sounds very impressive.
Running IOS apps on Mac? I think it's a beginning of a great change and developers have to be encouraged to submit their apps on Mac App Store. As a active Mac user, I really would like to support this request however I can.
I would not support this because of sandboxing and bad practices
Hi. Apple is money hungry. Devices and applications from both stores make up so much of their revenue. developers probably don't port over which they can because of Apple's little grubby hand going for their wallet before the developers can see any money. Also remember that someone can work hard on an application, have a ton of great reviews or positive downloads only to find Apple just decides to take its' ball and go home. So the app was developed over time and hard work for nothing. I have not developed an app but if I can, I look for ones that are not put on the App Store itself. It's supporting a person's dedication and time not to mention making their efforts all the more worthwhile.
I like to see
I like to see seieing AI to bee on the mac, it is verry use fool app
Voice Dream Reader for Mac is already under development
Hello,
today, I've received the following positive reply to my request regarding Voice Dream reader availability on Mac.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. Winston, the developer, is working on a full port to the Mac, which takes advantage of all of the Mac features. He has simulated the iOS app on a Mac, but it just doesn't look as good on the Mac, and some features are unavailable to users. Instead, a full development of an OS version is underway from our end. Stay tuned for more information as we near the release date.
Best, Sandra
