Question about paging / scrolling through large portion of text with voiceover

Hello Applevis,
So I noticed that the vo page up-down only work in Pages and in textedit rich text mode. As for the trackpad gesture, first am I the only one noticing how terrible voiceover is with the trackpad? The double tap gesture takes forever (noticeable delay compared to iphone where you can actually personalize that delay), but in this case each time I perform a 3 finger gesture in each of the 4 direction the gesture will be recognized but then voiceover will systematically interpret a false 3 finger touch leading to unnecessary redundancy of the information about where I am within a text, or yet even worst trigger the screen curtain or speech muted. Even when the help mode is on voiceover says the good gesture of scrolling but then cuts itself as if it had (falsely) captured the other gestures mentioned above.
Moreover when scrolling through editable text like this very comment text field or in pages/textedit with the move content instead of scrollbar checked or not in voiceover utility after being at a specific place when scrolling with the trackpad and moving the arrow keys it replaces the cursor where it was previously, effectively canceling the scrolling. Is there something I'm not understanding or doing wrong or is it yet another voiceover bug that has been there for ages?
