So earlier today I attempted to get windows 10 going on a virtual machine, as this pandemic has got me missing gaming a bit, lol, and I have no pc at the moment.
Anyways, I grabbed all the necessary files, Vmware, product key, windows iso file etc. I did the standard create virtual machine dialogue using the easy installer thing. I tried several times, around 4 or 5, however I had to trash all my machines.
Any tips? It seems that when I begin the install process, it seems fine for the first bit, but then VoiceOver reports that Vmware fusion is busy, and I can not do anything in the window. Now I understand that there is no way for us blind folks to really know when the installation is complete aside from guessing and hitting the narrator startup command, however VoiceOver also isn't supposed to go busy, is it?
I had a friend who is also blind do the process along with me, and he was able to get windows up and running with minimal trouble within about 20 minutes or so. I on the other hand had to restart fusion a few times as it was not responding. Whether this has recked anything on my internal drive I do not know, though hopefully since everything is all working within one app it has not.
Any tips? This is really my first time doing this, so I'm not sure what to expect. Maybe I was too quick to shut down the process, however I'm assuming since VoiceOver reported that fusion was busy and that it was shown as not responding in the force quit authentication that something is wrong here. Any help is appreciated.

I haven't used Fusion lately, but one thing you can try to do to help isolate the issue is to turn VoiceOver off right after the installation begins. After a few minutes, (installation times vary by system speed, CPU load, and other factors) try starting narrator to see if the installation has completed.
If you have an iOS device with Seeing AI or Envision AI installed, you can use one of those apps to get a view of your screen during the installation. This may help you get a better sense of what is going on when no speech feedback is available.

This behavior makes me think security
It's been a while since I installed VMWare Fusion, but I'm thinking that there was a security alert that came up and I had to allow something in the Security section of System Preferences. I just took a look at the Accessibility category in the Privacy tab of the Security options, I have VMWare Fusion checked. There could be other security prompts that may need to be addressed, but this was the first thing that came to mind.
Also check the general tab in Security
You may also want to check in the General tab of the security preferences to make sure it didn't block VMWare Fusion. If so, you can select allow.
How accessible is this?
I've heard of this software before... my question is, how accessible is it now a days? I've heard it's not, especially with the more recent versions... I could be wrong though... sorry if I made anyone upset.
