I purchased the Mac version of "System Fault" through the itch.io website 6 months ago, but in the past 2 months, I have experienced a number of issues. The app will update through the itch.io website, but the game has not launched for me since late April. I wrote to itch.io support at that time, but received no response.
In the latest update, released a week ago, the game will still not launch. I have uninstalled and re-installed the game, with no success. I have also uninstalled and re-installed the itch.io application, without any success.
I have also tried the following:
1. In the Itch.io page, I selected "downloads", and after selecting "System Fault", I chose the "show in Finder" option. This showed the .dmg disk image, which contained the "system fault" application.
2. I copied the "System Fault" application to the applications folder and attempted to open the game through the applications folder. The Mac will report that the application is running, but I hear no sounds from the game. After several seconds, I receive a prompt that the app quit unexpectedly, and to click the "reopen" button. This also met with no success.
I have been in contact with the developer, and he is unsure of how to assist me from here.
Has anyone else experienced issues with the Mac version of this game? Has anyone managed to get the latest mac version to work through the itch.io website?
