Problem with selecting cells in Numbers on Mac

macOS and Mac Apps

Hello,
I've recently switched from Windows to Mac and tried to familiarise myself with the apps. I'm particularly interested to know how to select multiple cells in Numbers, because it is essential to be able to work with spreadsheets for a class I'm attending. There are only mouse shortcuts, as I have read, and I don't know how to replace shortcuts on Mac (even if I followed the instructions I've read on Apple support). Can someone tell me another way to select multiple cells? Or can you offer me a clearer explanation for replacing shortcuts?
Thank you very much in advance.

Shift-arrows.
Or, vo-backslash to move vo to the header tabs. vo-space to choose column or row. vo-space to select the desired row or column.
You will probably have to do it before it will make sence.

Yes, it works now. I had tried the shift + arrows before writing here, but they didn’t work (maybe because I didn’t turn QuickNav off). Thanks again.

Is it possible to specify a range of cells to select, like in Excel? I have never been able to figure this out.

When a cell is selected, turn off cursor tracking.
move vo to the end cell.
Rout the mouse to vo and shift-click.
