Password Auto Fill on the Mac High Sierra

Hi All,

I would appreciate some assistance getting the Password Auto Fill feature to work with Mac High Sierra, Version 10.13.4

I believe that I have all of the necessary iCloud settings enabled and I am aware that as of a recent update Auto Fill parameters have changed, but I'll be damned if I can get it to work.

When I encounter a website that requires a Username and Password, such as AppleVis, VO advises me that there is an Auto Fill menu, and to use arrow keys up and down. Arrowing up and down, however, gives me nothing other than the button. VO+ Spacebar or Entering on the Button doesn't populate the Form Fields and usually earns me an error message from the WebSite that fields cannot be blank.

Using my iPhone, I was able to check the Auto Fill settings and see that I have saved passwords for the sites I am trying to access but I cannot find a way to make MacOS populate the Form Fields.

Help,Clever People. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I recently had the same problem and I found out how to resolve it just now. When you are in the web page containing the form you want to autofill, go to the menu bar and move to the edit menu, then select 'autofill form' from that menu. You can either do it this way or press command + shift + a directly from the website. Hope this helps!

Hello,
In update Mac OS 13.4 it is new feature and you have to press (CMD+Shift+A) Or arrow key down. VO plays sound but doesn't read information about login and password. If you press return, datas should be returned.
Why VoiceOver doesn't read what entered into edit field? Probably it knows only Apple. Hovewer I think it is bug.

I just found this information. I just recently contacted Apple support about auto fill in forms. This is definitely an issue with VoiceOver is not speaking the correct information. When you press down arrow after the information is filled in, it actually does fill in the information, with the correct username or password that you have set up for the site domain. Coincidence if you have a user name of John Smith, on www.Amazon.com, and you press down arrow when you were in the user name edit field, it would enter the username of John Smith. This, however, would not be spoken by voiceover, therefore, you wouldn't have a way of knowing that that information had been entered in the text field. I have not tried the command, shift, a, thing to see if that works, but I will give that a try. For some reason, the information is not spoken by voiceover. After doing the command, shift, a, sequence, are you able to go back and see if the information is filled in? Also, what would happen, if you have more than one user name or password for a domain. You should be able to select from a list of usernames or passwords for a certain domain. I have this escalating to a higher person up at Apple, and will report if I find any other information. Thank you for the work around.

After using the command+shift+a, you can check if the information has been filled in correctly using the standard navigational commands to move through the text fields. I honestly don't know about the multiple accounts associated with a website, but I hope someone else can give an answer.
