For those who have upgraded to the M4 from earlier M processor generations, have you noticed any improvement in nonresponsive apps and improved overall experience?
I have an M2 Air and thought it may improve my experience to upgrade to the M4 Air.
Thanks

Doutful You'd Notice
Of course, every generational change is an improvement in many ways, but you're ultimately constrained by system resources like RAM and disk that decide what sorts of things you can do. The M2 Air is still a great machine and I'm not sure a mere chip upgrade would be worth it. JMO, but you want to consider moving to the Pro before you'd think about upgrading your Air, presumably to another Air.
I was thinking the same…
I was thinking the same thing. Have a student discount and there is a slight bump on trade in values for MacBooks at the moment. to be honest, I doubt it will be worth it. The M2 is already a pretty punchy processor for everything but the most demanding of video editting and audio tasks. I very much doubt we will see improvements in Voiceover performance which is more likely down to poor integration than lack of poke under the hood.
