Mountain Lion voice commander becomes less responsive

I have just bought an iMac with Mountain Lion because I need the built in voice features. I use the voice commander with a Logitech USB microphone and all works well for hours, even days, until the speech recognition becomes unresponsive and I might have to repeat saying the command many times. A reboot fixes the problem for another few hours. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks Geoff
