Migrating to my new Mac using Carbon Copy Cloner

Hi:
FOr some reasons, THe Time machine is not working on my old Mac-mini, so i decided to use the CCC, will it do the task? or i will lose any data or run to problems?
And, in my new mac, just change the source and distination things, and everything will work? or what to do exactly?
