macOS and Mac Apps

Hi all, hope you're doing well and staying safe. Thanks to all those that help me with my last post.
I have a question about accessibility of Microsoft versus Apple products on Mac OS
Some people say that Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel are more accessible than pages and numbers on Mac Os? Is this true if so in what ways are they more accessible? I'm at a point where I need decent document writing and spreadsheet applications and I'm looking for the most accessible Applications for these tasks. That support Microsoft formats which are standard. Obviously this post is about Microsoft word and Excel versus pages and numbers but if anybody has any recommendations for any applications that are better than these I'd be open to hearing them. Thank you for your help everyone kind regards.

Personally, I much prefer the interface for Pages than I do word. I would still rather use Word on a Mc over Windows, but pages is better because you don't have the ribbon menu. Numbers is accessable, but I have not done complicate spread sheets. The issue, Microsoft products is what many people use so if you use the Mac prgrams, you wil have to exprt and make sure no formating errors happend in the process.

I will just comment about working with others, if you are working or will work with other persons in these documents, so, Office is better for sure,
but am using Pages with no problems, i did not use it in complicated work like footers and hidders, formatting etc, but it is working, and for sure it is accessible

I have used MS Office . Both Pages and Numbers are much more intuitive than MS Word and Excel running on a Mac. MS doesn't respect the Apple paradigm in its apps, so doing something as simple as deleting a word, pasting or in-line spell check don't work.

I have made several guides on Pages in the Guides section on AppleVis.

I have used Numbers for complicated spreadsheets like cash flows, random walk simulations and other types of data modelling.

If interoperability is an issue, you'll be stuck with Word and Excel, unfortunately. I use Pages as much as I can as well as Numbers and will export when needed.

I've adapted mine from excel files. Let me know what you're trying to do and I can find something that fits. e.g. Business cash flow, personal savings, etc.
