mavericks, Itunes, and audible books.

Hello everyone. I'm listening to an audio book from audible and there's a curious thing happening. When I pause then restart a book, as in I stop to answer the phone,it seemsto be skipping just a little more before starting. For example, if I pause as the sente starts, I shut the door. I, pause, resume, the door. So it's not that big of a deal but it's annoying. And it randomly started doing this. I don't know if I played with a setting somewhere or not. The only thing I was doing was playing with the equalizer settings, but I returned it back to the default. Can anyone help? Latest ITunes as well. Thanks, Siobhan

I've noticed this for sometime, not just recently. I believe it's a feature, not a bug. I certainly find it useful as often I pause playback because of some interruption and miss the last couple of words spoken. Either that or perhaps I forget exactly where I was up to by the time I come back. It's useful, therefore, to get a lead in of a couple of seconds when I resume playback.

Hi. Thank you for responding. I've noticed this also happens in music and it just started doing this recently right after I messed around witht he sound enhancer andthings like .05 db and other things. I adore the Mac and all it's things, but what i wouldn't give to either reinstall itunes, or a restore defaults. Thanks again for commenting. I appreciate it.
