I'm a relative newbie when it comes to using VoiceOver, but it would seem to me that Wordpress, at least desktop browser versions, aren't very accessible. I know the mobile Wordpress app makes things significantly easier, but am having trouble with my web host server. I wanted to see what other solutions or advice people in the community are using. TIA.

Depends on Plugins and Themes
I maintain multiple Wordpress sites. I have found that core Wordpress is accessible.
Wordpress 5 introduce the block editor (or Gutenberg). That was initially inaccessible. I understand those issues have been addressed in current Wordpress, but I still prefer to use the Classic Editor plugin. I just don't have the time to go off and learn how to use Gutenberg accessibly when I already have a solution that works.
Aside from that, the only accessibility issues I encounter are with plugins and themes. I have managed to avoid plugins and themes that are not accessible for the most part. However, I have encountered some situations where and accessible plugin updates to a new version and breaks accessibility.
Can you name a specific issue you've encountered?
re: Managing Wordpress Sites with VoiceOver
Dustin, I really wish you'd be more specific regarding the difficulties you're experiencing. As a web hosting provider & site developer, I've worked w/several folks using VO on a Mac, & they really don't experience any real problems.
Having thus said, you call yourself "a relative newbie when it comes to using Voiceover", & I would suggest therefore that you might benefit from some additional training in that regard. If so, then certainly I could recommend someone for that (definitively not me), but to do so I'd urge you to contact me privately, as it likely shouldn't be done on a public forum. The folks I've worked with definitively knew their way around their machine as well as VO, so I didn't need to address how to use the various screen reader functions I referred to in my coaching sessions. 1 of the tips I'll give you regarding WordPress is that your screen reader's find command will be your absolute best friend.
I also recommend using Markdown, which the installation of Jetpack facilitates. I can also provide resources for learning it if desired, & I assure you the learning curve is *minimal*.
HTH.

THANK YOU BOTH FOR THE GUIDANCE. I HAD BEEN MANAGING MY WORDPRESS SITE WITH SIGHT FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND WAS NOT BY ANY MEANS SKILLED. IT WOULD SEEM FROM THE COMMENTS THAT I HAVE EVEN MORE TO LEARN NOW THAT I AM RELYING SOLELY ON VO. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY TRAINING IN SITE DEVELOPMENT NOR IN VO, SO I SUPPOSE THIS WOULD BE ONE OF THE FIRST PLACES TO START. THANS AGAIN!
