Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe. I am running macOS Ventura on an M2 MacBook Pro 14 inch. Siri works perfectly fine for most things, it makes FaceTime video calls, no problem. however when i tell it to make a facetime audio call absolutely, nothing happens. Does anybody know why this could be please? I'm at a loss as to what the issue could be. Thank you very much for your help with this everyone :-)

Can you give us a bit more information? Like what do you say exactly? You don't need to give any personal numbers or emails, or anything like that, but how do you interact with Siri, how do you request an Audio Facetime call, etc. 🤔

Do you get any system dialogs when you try and it fails? Protip a double tap with 2 fingers on the left or right edge of your trackpad while TrackPad Commander is active will give you the Application and Window chooser options respectively. 😯

Have you tried opening FaceTime and manually doing an Audio Facetime? May seem silly, but troubleshooting is all about differentiating what works and what does not. 👍🏼

I'm asking these questions because I am currently on Ventura 13.6.1 on an Intel-based MBP, and my FaceTime works fine with Siri. 🤷🏼‍♂️

hi brian thanks for this no worries i understand the need for trouble shooting questions I'm quite technical, but I wanted to see where this goes. That's why I gave very little information. So I'm able to make FaceTime audio calls, manually, no problem. In terms of series behaviour, I will say "make a FaceTime audio call to Dad " Siri will say do you mean dad and I will say yes then Siri says "starting a FaceTime audio call to Dad " no System dialogues appear, and nothing happens from this point onwards. I hope this helps. please let me know if you have any further questions.

Try this:

1. Open System Settings.
2. Soon as it loads, type Siri (don't bother with the search field to your left). You should land on Siri and Spotlight.
3. Arrow over to the right (interact if needed) to get into the Siri settings.
4. Click Siri Suggestions and Privacy -- in here arrow over to the table, then arrow down until you hit Facetime. Arrow over to the right and ensure Make suggestions and Learn from this App are "On". Click done at the far right.
5. Click Siri Responses: make sure Voice Feedback and Always Show Siri Captions are "On".
6. Delete Siri History and Dictation.
7. Reboot.

Hopefully this will make things work for you as intended. 😅
