Ok, so if you've used siri on big sur on the mac, you'll notice that whenever siri responds, the response will stay on the window, just like in iOS. however, how can I exit said response window easily to get back to what I was doing? i've tried pressing escape, command w, two finger scrub on the trackpad... but nothing works. The only way i've found to exit the siri response prompt is to press the close, button, which is hard to find. Is there a easier way of doing this? Or having siri work more like in iOS? i.e: when you say, ask siri to play music, you don't see siri's response on the screen, or if you, it automatically reverts back to the home screen, or which ever app you where in before. Anyway to do this on mac?

If you found a close button, you're doing better than I am. I used the Item Chooser VO+I, but nothing labeled 'close' appears on the item list.

You can Alt+Tab, and once focus is in another app, the SIRI window eventually closes. However, Alt+Tab doesn't take you to the last app you were using, which seems like an issue that should be fixed.

In general, I find the entire notifications sidebar difficult to use as a blind person. The interface for phone calls and software updates, which both appear here, are challenging to use.

If it's any consolation, I remember that the notification area in Windows 7 was also difficult to use. There seems to be some industry-wide unspoken rule that notification areas don't require good accessibility.

I just say goodbye to her. It will close the window.

Saying goodbye is an excellent tip. Thanks.

Does anyone ever experience SIRI's voice fading out as she speaks her response? I noticed it just now when I asked "did the red sox win". Her response starts at normal volume than fades to nothing as she speaks. It's sporadic though, and I couldn't reproduce it on a second attempt.
