Hey everyone.

I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions on a way this issue can be resolved. I have a 13-inch Macbook Pro May 2012 I Boot Camped Windows onto. I got Windows installed successfully, however I can't get the Boot Camp drivers to install. I am being given an error message that says this version of Boot Camp is not intended for this computer model. Anyone have any thoughts?

and it still did not work? I would suggest browsing the apple forums to see if anyone else has had the issue of which you speak. They will have a solution for you, I guarantee.

Take care.

Hello Endomagnetic,

I assume you've already tried deleting the drivers from the flash drive and re-downloading them again via Boot Camp Assistant? If you haven't already, I'd recommend giving that a try.

Hello. I don't think we know what version of windows you are using. If you are on a new mac book pro I can't remember the model numbers, windows 7 is out, that is, you cannot use it so you have windows 8 and 10 to look forward to. If you are running xp, it is definitely out

It's a 64-byt version of Windows 7 I'm trying to run. As I said the Mac is from May 2012 and I'm currently running Yosemite. By the way, I just tried redownloading the drivers again and it didn't work.

Yep that's what I thought. The latest os builds disabled windows 7 as windows 7 support is going away in 2019 or so my MS.

I really to the power of 10 hope I'm wrong.

Hello.
It's been a while since I've had Windows. I did manage to get the Bootcamp drivers installed successfully and now I'm wondering what a good antivirus program would be. I don't really want to use Windows extensively until I have one. Any thoughts?

I would use Microsoft security essentials. That's actually all I use and I've been fine.
