You could try using pages. It is like Microsoft Word, except for the Mac.

I don't think that I will be able to use pages because we have to write in Napa format an I don't think that you can write that type of format in page. Are can you? Or do you think I need to upgrade to microsoft word 2016 instead. Has any one used microsoft word on the mac? Thanks!

What is Napa format?

If you want to know what APA formatting is, go to www.apastyle.org and take a look around. In a basic sense, it is formatting guidelines most universities use as requirements for writing essays and official journal articles. To answer the original question, Word 2016 is the version you need to use. For the most part, it can be used for simple formatting. However, once you start using multiple columns, inserting images, using shapes and objects like textbooks, Word would be impossible to use. For advanced formatting, you might have to use Pages [a word processor for MAC], which is similar to Word. The nice part with Pages is the export to Word feature. Just write your essays and papers for school in Pages, then export it to Word format.

Ok thanks! I will try and download office 16 and see if that one will work. I do know that office 11 does not work with VoiceOver. Are there any other apps that anyone can recommend for school. I am working toward my masters. I really do appreciate any recommendations that anyone can offer me. Thanks!word!

What are you getting your masters degree in? Most of what you use and how depends on the answer to this question.
