The number of games available for blind users of Macs seems very small, and is perhaps even smaller for those who want to play natively on Mac. Last I heard, the Steam client for Mac had serious accessibility issues, but that may have changed. There are certainly games that can be played natively on Mac. World of Warcraft Classic can, and if you grab the accessibility mod that's being developed for this game and have a full sized keyboard, there shouldn't be any serious issues. There aren't a lot of audiogames available, sadly. I play A Hero's Call and several other games on a virtual machine on my Intel Mac, but it's not I would call an ideal solution.

Just curious, but since you mentioned world of warcraft beeing playable on mac with the mod natively... Do you know if hearthstone is playable on mac as well via the mod natively on mac without need for a vertual machine?

Unfortunately, the Hearthstone mod was developed exclusively for Windows, with no plans to develop one for Mac or any other platform, as far as I know. I dearly wish I could play Hearthstone on my Mac; the game would run much more more smoothly on my Mac than it does on my mediocre Windows machine.

Another option is to install the Epic Games Store app on your Mac. Every week they give away at least one game for free. Unfortunately most of the time they are for Windows only, but every once in a while you'll be able to snag one that supports the Mac also.

Gog.com also has a Mac client. They give away free games also but much more infrequently.

I know this is a bit out there, but I've recently come across a fully blind player who plays world of warcraft and their YouTube guide. It's quite impressive and wanted to share in case its helpful to anyone!

What? WOW has an accessible mod? If I'm understand this correctly it's just awesome!!! Can you play it fully blind without or with very minimum sighted assistance?

I was a dedicated World of Warcraft gamer, before losing my eyesight, and even back then, there is so, so much going on in the game world, that I cannot even comprehend how it can be made accessible. At least not fully accessible, without some kind of cited assistance.

*Edit*
After watching that YouTube video, I have to say that if you're willing to put in the effort, I can see how the game can be very playable to the blind. Definitely not a fully accessible game, but doable. Takes a ton of work though, to make this kind of game even remotely accessible to the blind.

I've been playing shadows over Silesia on windows so I know the difference between audio games which are in truth 99% parody of a "game" and real actual videogames :) Thanks a lot though I'll watch that video soon.
