I hope someone can answer this question. Does the Mac have virtual keyboard with readout for touch typing? I have an iPhone and iPod Touch. I have become so accustomed and proficient with this method. Does anyone know? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get rid of Windows.

I'm a little confused by this question. Are you asking if the mac has a virtual keyboard like the Iphone? If so, the answer is no. A mac comes with a standard keyboard that you type on, just like any other computer.

I know about standard keyboard. I was curious if you could use track pad as well for typing. Thanks for the help.

Why would you want to type on a trackpad? With all due respect, if you are that used to typing on IOS & are proficient with it, stay with it. If you don't want a mac because you don't want the learning curve, you are better off in windows. Although I have both platforms, I have taken the time to learn the mac platform. I, personally find it superior. However, you did not ask that question.Another suggestion would be to purchase a bluetooth keyboard without laying out all kinds of cash for a computer you are not familiar with. It will allow you to stay with IOS yet have a full keyboard when you need it. You will be able to learn some of the commands without jumping off the diving board in to mac without a life jacket.

Hi, No you can not. Honestly, I don't think you would find that to be an enjoyable task. lol. I don't know or, heard of anyone who can type as fast or as accurately on a virtual keyboard as on a standard tactile keyboard.
