Hello all- I was wondering if somebody may be of help. I have the latest version logic and a corgi micro key air connected. when I try to use logic pro's bluegrass banjo I get a muted staccato sound rather than a pure banjo sound. to get that I have to press the keys very hard. Then I discovered that when I use musical typing it sounds like a pure banjo. when I connected a second keyboard the same thing happened. so it's something to do with the keyaboard.
Then I discovrered that its happening across string instruments like the hammered dulcimer.
Can somebody give me specific instructions as to how to fix this? Thanks heaps-
Mara.

Articulation or key switch
can u check if ur keyswitch is working or not? and what about other sounds like piano or something?
did u try a midi controller?
how do I do that?
yeah piano is fine, harp also. it's just these folksy string things . yes, I am using a midi controller- the Korg micro key air 37 connected over USB. but when I used another one the same thing is happening so the issue is in logic.
try to this
When you enter notes using your computer's typing keyboard instead of the Midi keyboard, use Z and X for octave adjustments and C and V for playing strength adjustments.
I'm guessing that the problem you're having is that you're playing too low, so use the letter V to increase your playing strength and see if that solves your problem.
octave solution
Totally agree with OCtave solution.
just make ur octave higher and try
