Logic pro or reaper? questions about getting started with recording myself

Hello,
I am a professional classical guitarist. I want to regularly produce video blogs and record myself mostly solo clasbbical guitar works. I want to be able to edit the tracks splicing best takes together or just doing a quick punch in. Maybe also adding voiceover over video blog. The big thing here is that I don't record with a click. Can I still make fine edits by sound? I have no vision so cannot use waveforms at all. I also want to add reverb and tweek it and maybe other effects like compressor etc but keeping sound as natural as possible. I'm sorry for long intro, but, before I ask my questions, I thought I'd give you an idea about how I want to use a DAW.
I have logic pro and just started reading through user guide. I would like to find a forum to ask questions but have not had any luck fineing anything up to date. Is it easier to get instructions for a beginner in reaper?
Any good material to get started learning how to use patches and effects etc? I'm now reading the user guide. Also saw the iCanWorkThThing podcasts but did not yet find answers to questions I mentioned above. Thanks for your help!

Reaper, hands down. While Logic has better integration with some products on its side, Reaper blows it out of the water in terms of both editing ability and accessibility.
There is a WhatsApp group, as well as a mailing list. Folks are extremely helpful there.
Rwp@groups.io is the place to go.
Hope this helps.

logic works ggreat and it is garenteed updates. reeper has a sixty day trile, and logic has a ninty day one. logic is great, reeper seems to be, from what I]ve had read, more trouble than it's worth. reeper has a cheeper up-front cost, but my saspection is the updates are paid. with Logic they're free. it is simpol and you can get your feed wet with gerageband, which is free. it's got loads pf patches, with new ones reesently added in Logic Pro X 10.5. it is compatible with Mainstage for live settings. the installation of reeper requires going into terminal to install the asara accessibility screeps. I joined the reeper list to get perspectives on how it works when compaired to Logic.
