Hi,
I'm trying to do some potentially complex multi-track editing, and I think I need more than Amadeus Pro can provide at this point.
I've heard good things about logic and reaper, so I'm trying to figure out which is best for me.
I'm using ventura on a 2021 and also a 2023 mac mini, so being able to operate the license on two computers is a must.
What I'm trying to do is mix tracks, ie a vocal and an instrument track. Some mixes I'm going to do will have layered vocals. Whenever I try to do this in amadeus, my mixes come back absolutely laden with reverb in the vocals, even though there was seemingly no reverb on the original vocal file to begin with.
So I'd like to be able to adjust the volume of each track independently, and have that reflect in the mix.
Between logic and reaper, which is more straightforward to use with voiceover on an m1 mac mini?
Thanks

Reaper all the way. Much…
Reaper all the way. Much easier to use. Doesn't come with many sounds out of the box but as a daw it's much better. If you can get both so you'll have the ability to use both tools on your projects at the same time. Want to use an instrument in logic that you can't use in Reaper, just export stems, load into logic, do your thing, export stems of only what you played in logic and import that back into your reaper project.
I use both.
Hello, I use logic for making beats and reaper for audio editing. I hate editing stuff in logic and reaper is much more fluent in editing at least for me. Honestly, it's whatever floats your boat.
Reaper all the way
I have both logic and reaper and... reaper all the way. Logic requires too much interaction with elements which, when compared side by side with reaper... reaper does give you a heck of a faster workflow, and its way easier to use, in my opinion.
I too use both
