Good afternoon,
So sorry for disturbing you all, This is the last post for today I promise.
Normally when I download things from a website, I prefer that it goes to my downloads folder but when I download the Zoom app from the website, will it go into my downloads folder?
If so, how do I get it into my dock?
If someone could help me out that would be brilliant.

Yes it should
Yes, the download should be saved to your Downloads folder by default. I believe Zoom is installed by opening the downloaded disk image (.dmg) file, opening the installer package (.pkg) file contained in the image, and following the onscreen instructions to install the app.
Once installed, the app, labeled as Zoom.us, will be located in the Applications folder. To add it to the Dock, select it in the Applications folder and press Command-Control-shift-T.
Thanks so much
Hi Tylor,
Thanks so much for that. I'll try to install Zoom now.
Homebrew
If you have Homebrew installed, you can just go to a terminal and run "brew install zoom". It's simpler than going to a Web site, downloading and installing - and there's less of a risk of going to the wrong Web site and installing malware by mistake.
To answer your question, Zoom appears to be a pkg file, so you can simply download it (and it will end up in your ~/Downloads directory), then open the file and complete the installation by following the prompts.
Alternatively, check whether it's available in Apple's Mac App Store. If so, taht's another safe way of installing.
