I have recently noticed an issue with Pages on my Mac. When I open a document, and even if I make no changes to it, when I close it out my Mac wants me to save the changes. When I click save it says that the untitled document can't be opened right now and that my most recent changes may be lost. It then gives me the option to either discard it or cancel. I have run a virus scan and nothing shows up, I have shut down and restarted my computer three times, and nothing changes. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

Save and close
Hi. If I understand you, then I am wondering, have you tried saving the document before you try quitting Pages? Do you then close without any issues? If not, have you tried saving, then closing all windows, then quitting? Also, does this issue occur when your reboot has the reopen all apps box checked and then reboot without closing Pages? Have you looked through Pages preferences to see if you can alter internal notifications and/or closing behavior?
Try this: • System…
Try this:
• System Preferences>General
• Inspect the checkboxes that controls whether your Mac asks to save documents each time they're opened and whether applications should close their windows upon reopening.
Good luck.
Thanks, got it working
Thanks for the ideas. I got it figured out. All that had happened was that the place where it was trying to save my document had gotten changed. Once I put it back to saving it n documents it works fine.
