This is mainly a vent post. I don't want this to become a Mac vs PC post, and I'm happy to delete if this is not allowed. I'm just wondering if others have experienced a similar issue.
I'm predominantly a Windows user and have been since 2021, where I began using a screen reader. Using NVDA was like a breath of fresh air compared to how buggy and frustrating VoiceOver was in 2020-2021. I decided to use my MacBook Air M1 for a week, though.
Everything works okay. My biggest gripe is that I couldn't get my character sheet for Dungeons and Dragons working, which is in a spreadsheet format. Updating to the latest version of Ventura and Numbers seemed to fix that problem, it seemed. I could actually use spreadsheets, or so it seemed.
Yesterday, I wanted to play around with some spreadsheet stuff, because I'm a dork like that. Opening a new new spreadsheet, it reads how many columns and rows and that there is 1 cell selected. Except when I navigate inside the spreadsheet itself, VoiceOver won't navigate. Goddammit, not again.
Microsoft Excel is absolute garbage on macOS, Google Sheets is okay but the interface is clunky, and I was hoping to mainly use Numbers (especially for audio graphs as I haven't figured out how to read charts in Excel using JAWS or NVDA). But the inconsistent behaviour of Numbers really turns me off using Mac and it's really frustrating and disappointing.

Interacting
Did you interact with the table?
Re: Interacting
Yes, I did, but it doesn't seem to read. Quick Nav is off - I thought that would be the problem, but no difference. Numbers seems to work on-and-off.
Numbers
I am running the latest Mac OS and the latest version of Numbers and I don't have an issue with arrows navigating inside a table.
Try command-tabbing away from Numbers and then back. Does this fix the issue?
Also, check to see there are no other windows floating over the Numbers main window.
