iCloud drive upload status

Hi all
Is there a way I can check what the upload status is if I copied something on to iCloud drive from my Mac or from another device like I can with Dropbox? I'm on the latest version of OSX, there's no indication in the iCloud drive folder, in system preferences iCloud there seems to be a progress indicator, but it doesn't read the progress and interacting with it also does nothing.
