How do you get along with Microsoft Teams on the Mac?

Hi everyone

I am stuck with Microsoft Teams on the Mac, I only get the busy message with VoiceOver and can't do anything and it interferes with the other apps I'm using at the time. For example, if I get this busy message and leave teams and move to safari, the Teams app return the VoiceOver focus and doesn't allow me to use any other app.

I have to use Teams a lot as my work team does.

Any suggestions?

I'm actually interested in this as it took me a few hours to try and find the teams link for mac os. the site basically kept not wanting to cooperate even under chrome. My company I'm a part of are switching, and I finally found, but didn't install the pkg.

You may need to fiddle with some of the VoiceOver web settings to get Teams to voice correctly in VO. I used Teams in my last organization. There are useful keyboard shortcuts for getting around. I found you need to set some VO hotspots to quickly move between parts of a page.

Microsoft is extremely helpful with making their stuff a bit more accessible. there is a full time team of engineers who only do accessibility. The head of MS Office is Kelly Ford. I don't have his e-mail address anymore, but if you can connect with him, he can direct you to the proper team who handles Teams.

I know that name from somewhere. thanks. I'll figure somethign out as I'm not sure when the switch is, but I wanted to get the thing in installed now and play with it, hopefully without sending messages to the group.

I've been using Teams on Mac in my last project, since August.
It is very strange, as VoiceOver commands don't usually work as expected.

I used Tab to navigate through the interface, Enter or space to activate options and Escape to go back.
Also, command and a number would navigate through tabs, command 1 for activity, command 2 for chat, command 3 for teams and command 4 for calendar.

VoiceOver hints would tell you how to interact with each item, and I think there was a Microsoft page dedicated to using Teams on Mac.

I can't say that it is inaccessible, but it isn't the most easy to use interface.

Except when I had to share the screen, files or code, I would rather use the iOS app to chat and calls.

Where to find the app? I couldn't find it while searching. Thanks in advance.

If you just type in microsoft teams, the first result is the site itself. Google is amazing! said with sarcasm.
