You’re supposed to be able to mark a hotspot by pressing VO+shift+1 or VO+shift+2 or whatever. You’re then supposed to be able to jump to these hotspots with VO+1, VO+2 etc. This works beautifully in Safari or in PDFs open with Preview. And it’s really useful. But it no longer works in Text Edit or Pages. I’m sure it used to, and when it did it was extremely useful. I miss it. Can anyone advise why I can’t get it to work; maybe give me a tip to get it working, or suggest a work-around?
p.s. It worked a year or more ago; seems to have stopped working; and I can’t believe I can’t find a forum thread on this topic. So, if I’ve missed it somehow, please forgive me. I did have a thorough look.

You have memory better than mine
It has never worked for me in TextEdit. Everywhere else it works.
Yeah it's even mentioned in…
Yeah it's even mentioned in the doc I think. Never worked for me on Ventura when I started on mac.
It's so useful when it works...
I love hotspots but they are unreliable, it doesn't work most of the time in mail; but it often works in Whatsapp desktop. I just hope for it to work when I need it but when it doesn't work I'm like OK...

This can describe the entirety of Voiceover on mac frankly.
They jump around in GarageBand
If I place a hotspot on the header for a specific track, it will work for a while, but inevitably jumping there takes me to the header region containing all track headers rather than the specific header. I reported this to Apple accessibility months ago, and they reproduced it. But I don't use GarageBand frequently and haven't checked whether it's fixed or not. Testing an issue like this is a huge commitment and I have other things going on.
