After upgrading to High Sierra, my Voiceover is silent when selecting text in Pages. Just me? Also, text containing comments (shift command K) do not report "contains comments" anymore.
The problem is not High Sierra. It is the latest Pages update that is causing this issue. I read where someone else had posted about this problem and so I did not install the latest Pages update. I am running High Sierra and have not had this problem with pages. If you can roll back to the previous version of Pages, that should solve the problem.
I have experienced these problems also, and reported them to Apple Accessibility. It turns out that the key command for page break isn't working either. Note that in an earlier post someone smarter than me offered a work around to hear selected text. It is vo + F6.
This problem is a real bother to me.
