Helping improve accessibility for a website.

Hi all. I've ordered two teddy bears from www.vermontteddybear.com and each time I've had a problem. The latest order, which was Monday, I got all the way to the submit order part of the process. I saw two buttons labeled "Submit." One, it was obvious it takes you back to edit your payment info, shipping etc. The other one, didn't do anything when I clicked, used voice over, shift space to hear the mouse click, I even turned off voice over, pressed both enter and space, thinking it would help. Nothing. I contacted customer service to place my order expressing both times i have had problems. I was told my feedback would be sent to the site admins. So two questions: has anyone used Vermont teddybears, and if anyone has had a similar experience can you help convey the need to improve accessibility? Thanks, as i'd really like to just place the orders online. If nothing else, because a gift message I wrote is so beautiful I can't find the same words once it's created.

I haven't dealt with this site directly, but what I have found is that if you have entered information incorrectly during the payment process it won't submit because of the errors. The only way you can find these errors is to arrow through each edit field until you find the text under the edit field that tells you how to correct the error. Do you think you may have accidentally made an invallid entry without relizing?

Hi. Thanks for answering my question. If you pretend to rder a bear, I promise it won't submit. Every field is done, I went through them multiple times to make sure absolutely everything was correct. I can understand how you might've thought that, and believe me, I would admit fault here. :) I know the buttons are strange, just add a bear to your cart and you'll understand what I mean.

You could always ring up the customer service and suggest that you would be quite happy to use another more accessible company to buy your teddy-bears. I know you probably have reasons why you want Vermont Teddybears rather than any other company, but they don't have to know that.
