Help please: Setting persistent folder sort in finder.

Hi,

No matter what I do, on my desktop in a folder called libation, I can't get the sort order to stick. Libation, for those who don't know, is an app that grabs one’s Audible books, strips DRM, and sorts them. I've set them to have a creation date of when I purchased them so that, in theory, when I open the libation folder in iCloud on my desktop, my latest purchase is at the top, my oldest purchase is at the bottom... This is the theory, anyway.

Each time I back out and then go back in, it reverts to sorting by name.

Any thoughts? Is this a general issue or a voiceover issue because we can't click around with the mouse?

Any help much appreciated.

When in the folder, try to press CMD-J and then select the option in the sort by popup menu that you want the folder's content to be sorted. Once done, use the close button to dismiss the settings.
Does it stick then?

Unfortunately not. This is the way I've been trying it... My bad for not describing steps I've already taken. I've also tried doing it through the view menu.

Switch to list view, then try clicking on the column you want it to be sorted by, at the very top of the table. Or they might be beside the table I can’t remember anymore, but anyway they should be there.
