Hello there. Can someone please help me out of this current mess i've managed to get myself in during my attempts to familiarise myself with some keyboard commands? I've somehow managed to toggle voiceover mute on, via the voiceover menu, then far too quickly, here i am back out of voiceover help before i got voiceover talking again. So, i'm without any speech on the mac, only the clicking sounds that are there as keys are pressed. How do i get the thing speaking again without being able to see the screen? Thanks. Help much appreciated.

If you have the Trackpad commander turned on, then a 3-finger double tap on the trackpad will mute/unmute VoiceOver speech.

If the Trackpad commander is not turned on, then hold down the VoiceOver modifier keys and then place 2 fingers on the trackpad and perform a gesture similar to turning a rotary dial clockwise. This should turn it on. You won't get spoken confirmation of this with VoiceOver being muted, but you should hear an audible tone.

Thank you. I couldn't for the life of me remember how to enable trackpad lol. The only time i tried to use it i quickly gave up cos i kept knocking it every time i went to type, and therefore causing all manner of unintended randomness to happen. Shame there doesn't seem to be a key command to toggle it like there is on many bluetooth keyboards that can be used on iOS.
