Hi, sorry I’m sure this is a simple thing but I can’t figure it out. I’m still new to VoiceOver on the Mac.

On iOS I can use the rotor to select headers and then swipe up or down to navigate them on a website. But I can’t figure out how to do this on my Mac. I’ve used the rotor to select headers but I don’t know the keyboard commands to navigate them. I appreciate any help!

THere are quite a few ways to navigate by headings on Mac OS.
If you already know how to use the rotor on your trackpad, then the method is similar to that on iOS.
You can also use VO+command+h and VO+shift+command+h to move between headings on the web page regardless of the heading level.
One other command you want to check out is "VoiceOver Help Menu", which can be accessed by pressing VO+h. Once the menu comes up, arrow down to the submenu called "commands", press right arrow to expand it and explore to your heart's content. If you know what command you are looking for, you can type it here and the list of matches will be narrowed down accordingly.

Please note, VO refers to the VoiceOver modifier, control+option and/or capslock.

You can also allow keyboard commands to navigate web pages in VoiceOver Utility (Web>Navigation). There is also quick-nav. Just press left and right arrow keys at the same time. This way the rotor can be used (and other navigation features) can be controlled by just the four arrow keys! And if the menu previously mentioned is enabled and quick nav is on, then you can just press 'h' to go to the next heading or 'H' (shift+h) to go to the previous heading. This works with other items such as links (l) and buttons (b). You can type '1', '2', ... to navigate to the next heading of that level (using shift still applies). there are definitely full lists of these commands provided on apple's accessibility pages.

Hello
If you are new and you are totally lost when you have to make changes under VoiceOver utility
I will give the commands just to activate some actions

VO + Q single-key Quick Nav on
do it only once making this command you will avoid to enter under VoiceOver utility to make the changes

then hit left and right arrow together at the same time to activate Quick Nav
doing the same action is to turn off
and lastly
VO + H to navigate by headings, VO + L for links ETC. ETC.
