Hello everyone,
I have just gone through a document in Pages and selected different portions of text and marked them as Headings 1 or 2 via the Paragraph Styles option in Pages and these are recognised and read out by VoiceOver correctly. However, when I exported this document in Word Format to share with others, VoiceOver on iOS did not recognise those headings.
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
Claire

Thanks Oliver for your…
Thanks Oliver for your thoughts.
In the exported Word document, VoiceOver announces “Helvetica 18 bold align left” but no mention of Heading levels
I’ll try exporting in HTML format
The VoiceOver rotor
If you use the VoiceOver rotor in the document, does it show the headings?
Press Control + Option + U.
Navigate to the list of headings.
Are they there?
I’ve found that in Word, VoiceOver does not speak the word “heading” as I read through the text, as Jaws would on Windows, but if I use the rotor, I find they are actually there.
Very annoying.
Not in Rotor
Thanks Oliver again for your suggestion, the headings don’t come up in the Rotor on the Exported word doc
