Hello all
I luckily haven't come across this problem, I am just curious to know if such a thing could be done. If you are running a bootcamped windows and something makes it unbootable such as a virus or spyware etc, is there a way to scan/fix it from the mac side? I remember a few times having to obtain sighted assistance to go in to safe mode to remove such things and if it could be done with accessibility, that would be another reason I would recommend the mac as the best windows machine I've ever used. I know that you can reformat the partition from disk utility and thus reinstall windows but if the problem can be fixed, someone wouldn't have to jump through some of the inaccessible hoops of reinstalling through bootcamp. I know that VmWare fusion has VmWare tools, I assume they include pretty good protections? With that being said, does VmWare tools get installed if you run a virtual machine using your bootcamp partition or must you install manually? I also assume that they are only active when you are using fusion and when booted with bootcamp, you would install your own protection as you would a normal windows machine? I currently have not used fusion yet and am just running windows 7 through bootcamp. I plan on trying the trial soon though.
Hope what I am asking makes sense and thanks.
