Hi, all.
It's been a great adventure navigating the Mac. The one thing I'm curious about though is how to move files into the place I want them and how to get things out of the trash without necessarily copying and duplicating and cloning files. I keep forgetting the use of the cut command, and I don't know how else to move files around and make sure they appear in the folders I want them in.

To move a file, navigate to it in the Finder and press Command C to copy. Then, open the location where you want to move the file and press Command Option V to move, or Command V to paste.
To recover a file from the trash, open the trash, navigate to the file, and press VO Shift M to access the contextual menu. From this menu, choose, "Put back."

Hey, I forgot the use of option command plus v, so this helps immensely.

You can also press Command+Deleete when focused on an item in the Trash. This will put the file back in the folder it was in prior to deletion and open the Finder to that folder.
