exporting a .ics file of an event in the calandar app in ml

Hello to all. I'm trying to export an event from a calendar to a .ics file so I can email it to all of my peoples. I have found no way of doing this. is there a way to do this/ I have found the way to export a calandar but that's not what I want. googling is not helping either as the info is about 3 years old.
