Hello folks, I am using the main Gmail website rather than the built in mail client. Normally when I encounter a download link I press option+return to download the file. However, when I tried this in for a link that was emailed to me the Mac downloaded the url document rather than the mp3 file. What can I do instead? Thanks, Louis

Are you using the basic HTML view or standard view? I usually use the basic HTML. I haven't done this in a while but there is usually a link that says scan and download. You can search for it using the links list. Like I said before, I haven't done this in a while so it might have changed. Hope this helps.
Oh ok. I see what you're talking about now. I was able to download the file after going through a series of unnecessary steps. First I pressed on the link and it opened in a new tab. Then I pressed VO M to open the file menu. I chose save as. Then in the file name, I erased the .archive extension and just kept the .mp3. I also chose the source format. When I saved it, I was able to open it with iTunes. I hope there's an easier way to do it but this is a solution for now.
