Creating Keybinds in Discord with Voiceover?

Hi all,
I'm not sure if anybody has had any success with this, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. I want to create a keybind in Discord to disconnect from voice channels/calls without having to find the disconnect button. You can create a keybind to do this, but voiceover doesn't seem to actualy let you.
After pressing Command comma for Discord preferences, then navigating to keybinds>add new keybind, I am unable to set the keybind. I can choose the action, disconnect from voice channel, but once I press the record keybind button, I can't get the key combination I choose to actually stick. I've tried any number of different key combinations, so it can't be the keys I'm choosing for the bind.
If anybody has successfuly created a keybind, and could give me some pointers, I would be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried temporarily disabling VO just long enough to apply a new key combination for the "Disconnect" shortcut? If so, what are your results?

I had not tried that, but I've just attempted. It still doesn't save my key combination. I appreciate the idea though, as I hadn't thought to try that at all.

Navigate to the keybind and turn quicknav on, then press the combination you want, and move away from the focus with one of the arrows and it should stick
