Hello there,

Well, I was just doing the same thing the other day. Had a folder contain an audio book that I wanted to give a listen. They were all in the Microsoft WMA format.

Here is what I did. On your Windows just bring up the iTunes. Now do the Alt-F and scroll down to the Import Files or Folder to iTunes.

It will then prompt you with a dialog box that it does not support WMA and would like to know if you want to convert it for you automatically. So just tap on the Convert. Now it will begin the process of converting all of your WMA that you are importing either in to the MP3, AAC, M4A or such depending how you have this set up with in your iTunes Options.

So no need for those messy 3rd party software.

Hi,

There is a program called Switch, which its primary purpose is to convert sound files. It is cross-platform, and is accessible no matter which platform you are on. I started using this several years ago and it is very handy, particularly for batch conversions.

Hi Anonymouse,

Is there a way to get the iTunes library to sync with the mac?
I have access to a pc and I use a mac personally.

Thanks!
