I just got a new M1 Mac Mini. I'd given up playing Amazon Prime Video in Safari, assuming my OS was too old to render it properly. I was somewhat puzzled and disappointed to find that Safari displays this player without button labels, the same as it did on my old machine. I installed Google Chrome, and the player buttons in that browser displayed very accessibly. I'm curious about what could be happening under the hood. I mean, this is all html5, is it not? Also, the Prime Video app displays the player in an accessible manner. Has anyone else had experiences with other players not being very useful with Safari and VO? Youtube? Netflix? Hulu? I'm just curious. I'd love it if someone who knows much more about web browser engines, etc. could shed some light on this. I'd love to use Safari, but it just isn't very practical for multimedia display in my case. Thanks.
