Hi all,

Does anyone know how to contact OpenAI for help. I just downloaded ChatGPT for the mac and I noticed that VoiceOver won't read the conversations. When ever I start interacting VoiceOver says, "In section. Content is empty." Anyone else beside me having this issue too? If so I would like to hear from you'll.

Sincerely, Ayub

i’ve never really had any issues. But off topic, does anyone know how to copy responses from the app into somewhere else? also, is there a Windows version out yet?

Yes, there's already a version for windows. For copying responses, you can only do that on iOS but I don't know if you can do that on any other platforms because I only use iOS. Hopefully this helps.

ChatGPT isn't the most accessible app on Mac, but it works. It's unintuitive as heck, and it seems like something breaks each time I update the app, but it's never been broken to the point of uselessness. You need to be fairly advanced a user to use it successfully, but it's not impossible. I'll try and record some sort of demo when I'm using it later today, since I just woke up and I really don’t feel like doing anything right now.

To copy responses, just make sure you're hovering over the response with the mouse. VO plus command plus F5. Then, click on it. VO plus shift plus space. Then, activate the context menu. VO plus shift plus M. And then you should see a bunch of options like good response, bad response, read aloud, and copy.

Just to echo, the web app works well. You can also access voice through it. The only thing it doesn't have, aside from really crappy accessibility, is the ability to share screenshots.

The web app is ace. Use it all the time and, because I do, I'm saving a great deal of time with the clunky navigation. The OG app kinda doubles down on how convoluted voiceover can be when navigating apps. The web app allows us to simply use shift escape to hop to the input field, and then VO command h to bounce through headings. It's lush.

Recently, I had an issue where VoiceOver wouldn't read chats in the ChatGPT app. However, now it works properly again. Well, to clarify, it's back to how it was before. When navigating through the chat and responses, it first says something like "two items selected" or "three items selected" as I move around the chat. Eventually, it does read what it’s supposed to.

To copy text, I focus on the message I want to copy and press the shortcut **VO + Shift + M**. This opens a menu where I select "Copy" from the list.

Another top tip, shift VO C copies the last item voiceover read out. It's one of those little shortcuts I use all the time.
