Cannot play specific podcast episodes in Apple Podcasts App

Hi,
Since I upgraded to the latest software version on my Macbook air M1 (Monterey 12.0.1), i am no longer able to play specific podcast episodes in the Apple Podcasts App. To reproduce this issue, do the following:
1. Open Podcasts app
2. Select "Shows" in the sidebar
3. Select a specific show
4. Navigate to the episodes heading and try to start the playback of one episode in this area
for me, this does not work at all. Can someone of you reproduce this issue?

The following workaround works for me until that issue gets fixed:
Navigate to a specific episode of a show you want to listen to. Then, press VO+space twice quickly and the episode starts playing.
