Can not screen share with mac and facetime.

Hello all.
When I am on a facetime call with some one, and I want to share the screen, I hit VO + M twice for the status menus, then, I hit audio and video controls. After that I scroll down and hit the screen share toggle button, but no options for sharing the screen pop up. Any work arrounds?
