Is this a bug everyone is having?

1. Open a TextEdit document.
2. Write few word, you can also open already existing document.
3. With the Arrow QuickNav on, select a word or a character with the shift+left or right arrow.
4. The Arrow QUickNav will stay activated, but its functionality is lost. In order to restore its functionality, you need to deactivate it and reactivate it again.
Anyone going through this?

Quicknav has been over all buggy for a few releases now. Safari, Text Edit, and elsewhere. I have noticed the kind of behavior you describe.

When I was navigating the window that shows progress on a copy operation, I could hit the right or left arrow key once with QuickNav on, and then it would act as if quick nav was off. You would need to disable and reenable quick nav.

I see this sometimes in Safari and other apps. A workaround is to use VO+arrow keys if I want to navigate as if quicknav is turned on in Safari.
Regarding selecting text word by word, I tur off quicknav (as always) and press option+shift+arrow keys.
Hope that helps.
