Band-in-a-box for Mac can be used with VOiceOver somewhat. However, the accessibility is so inconsistent and so coincidental that, unless you use something like VOCR to scan the screen at every point, you probably won't be able to make much use of it.
One of the most important features, for me at least, the navigation of chord sheets, is not accessible at all, and that's the deal breaker.
PG Music has not been very friendly to our community, except for a few hand-out fixes here and there, on Windows primarily.
Thanks. do you know of any alternative that works well? I have watched my friend be able to use it accessibly but he's on PC. I refuse to use windows again.
What does band in a box for mac do? Is it a scorring app, or more of a daw where you play via midi and can record what you play but by selecting different instruments?
Ah, I honestly didn't think that band in a box was still on going after not using it for a vary, and I do mean vary long time. Used it on windows for a while and this was back when XP was a thing. Ah, the memories. Had band in a box 2007 and that was when real drums was just starting to come out. Not even gunna tell you how I used it because, I know I'll get laughed at hehehehehe. All I'll say is I was able to use most features with writing and composing songs. Accessibility at that point was far from perfect and not great by any means, but unless they changed stuff and improved stuff, windows is still gunna be your best bet if you still wanna go down that road, though I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know if you're looking for a mobile alternative but there is IReal pro which, is, essentially a band in a box without the bells and whistles on your phone. I honestly think that works better but haven't figured out how to compose with it yet unless someone knows how and can give me tips, that would indeed be great. Band in a box is mostly a program for backing tracks to practice along to, so, not a daw by any means, but you can compose your own and program songs into it. Comes with a bunch of tracks already if I remember correctly and it does work off midi.

Unfortunately, not much, but...
