Hi all. I was wondering whether any of you may be able to offer any suggestions.

This would have previously been a fairly simple task when I had sight however not so much now. I'm looking for some audio editing software compatible with VoiceOver and fairly simple to use, as I only need to make basic clips at the moment. For instance, I would like to add some background music to an interview I have previously done.

Many thanks,
Nathan

There are three programs that come to mind. Audacity is free and accessible, but has a bit of a learning curve to it. Amadeous (Lite or Pro) costs money, but their website has a 30-day trial. Many people prefer this app to Audacity. Logic, from Apple, is quite expensive, but is also accessible. If it were me, I'd try Audacity first, and if you find you need more, see if Amadeous works out by using that free trial. I have a feeling Logic would be overkill for your needs, but of course I can't be sure of that.

I love this app and have used it for some very complex projects. If you search this sight I'm sure you can find all sorts of things previously posted about the subject.

Honestly no one has done a demo of amadeus pro like really going into debth on its many features. I to use it pretty easley but I still have a long way to go before I'm as good as I was in windows using sound fordge.

Like the very simple question I have not yet figured how to do: recordd voiceover plus the mixer output in amadeus pro.
In audacity it's as beautiful as a flower, a sound flower to do it *smile.

To record both voice over and your other sounds you need garage band and sound flower plus line in. I have a blog post. whoch you can find at the top of

I did a small demo of amadeus which you can find here.

It's really easy to use and I mix all of my podcasts with it. including pasting voice over track along wiht music if necessary.

perhaps you might be willing to show us how you mix music with a small voiceover? I have messed with this today and have not has any luck at all. it seems when I try to do this when my voiceover track finishes playing, the music track doesn't continue. it just gets chopped off. I don't know if I am doing it correctly or not, I am using the edit menu and going to paste to new track.
